Brilliant turn out for the 2^nd of the re vamped LVRC National Cyclo Cross Champs, organised by 5 times UCI World Masters Champion Mick Ives and Team Jewson—M.I.Racing --at a new venue Nr Wellesbourne S Warks.

Over 50 entries inc 4 Ladies, contested the LVRC National Cyclo Cross Champs organised by Team Jewson - MI Racing on a course designed by Mick Ives , having a superb starting loop , followed by Road , fast grass sections and some tricky paths thro the wooded area , with 2 tough climbs and a flight of steps to negotiate each lap, a success all round.

The Championship was sponsored by Jewson , the UK’s leading Building Merchants,

The overall winner was Team Jewson—M.I.Racings former British Senior Champion and the reigning LVRC Champion , Steve Knight, who literally flew around the course, riding one section that no other rider even comtemplated in doing ,such was his class, , Of course he won the 40 + Championship and also the New Highgate Trophy for 1 year ( Trophy donated to the LVRC by the defunt Highgate C.C. )

It was a very successfull day for the promoting club , with Pete Smith winning the 50 + Championshipo , , and Mick Ives retaining the 70 + Championship,

Rides entered from as far as Devon, York, London , South Coast and S.Wales
